Brownie Bites Recipe

Brownie bites are perfect for people who like to rich chocolate flavor that’s not too sweet. There’s always a stash in our freezer and I often carry some with me for snacking and sharing. If you love sweets and are frustrated with expensive nutrition bars with too many ingredients, these are for you!


  • 3/4 cup rolled oats

  • 3/4 cup raw walnut pieces

  • 1.5 cups pitted whole dates

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste

  • 1-2 tbsp. honey or agave nectar - optional. I only add this if I’m serving them as dessert to guests or giving them as gifts.


  • Completely grind oats and walnuts in a food processor

  • Add remaining ingredients and grind until uniform

  • Roll into balls. We do roughly 3./4” but you can make them bigger. If mixture is too crumbly blend in a few drops of water at a time and test it. Be careful - It can go from crumbly to a sticky mess quickly.

  • Store in fridge but note they can sit at room temperature all day and be fine. Make an extra batch and freeze ‘em for later.
